Viewing the project can be arranged by appointment, fill out the contact form or drop me an email.

The Riverside Project was started by me, Peter Collins several years ago.

Since childhood, I have been inspired by nature and the environment around us.

I studied Arboriculture and passed my RFS Cert Arb at Merrist Wood near Guildford.

After many years of climbing trees, and working in industrial rope access. I was saddend and worn out by reducing good timber to firewood and wood chips. I decided their must be another way. Turning the timber into usable items of furniture and kitchen utensils for use around the home. Inspiration for these items, comes from my travels around the world and visiting its remote landscape scenery and people.

Passing my skills and knowledge onto other people by the way of training courses and hands on practical sessions. Empowering pupils with the confidence to go out and carry on the crafts they have learned. Our move to Exmoor provided us with the location to make this vision become a reality.  With the hard work and dedication of the project’s volunteers, The Riverside Project has become a reality, we look forward to welcoming you on a visit to the project site.

I sponsor the project and have another web site to sell various items that I make.
